It is up to the individual coaches to determine athletic scholarships. They are only available on Division 1 and Division 2 schools, but division 3 schools do not offer any athletic scholarships. The individual schools give each team a certain amount of money towards athletic scholarships each year in the budget. The first step is to contact the individual coaches at the schools you are interested in playing for their team, and it should be on the website. The other thing is to register immediately for the NCAA database. A friend's step daughter recently made a verbal commitment to a private division 2 college and got a half athletic scholarship for volleyball. I am not surprised that she got one because she is a fabulous volleyball player, and the team is excited to get her next year. I am including some readings which should help. Good luck!
