I had a long day at work. I was unable to eat my cup-of-noodle soup during lunch time today because the stupid cup was filled with moth larvae. I had to throw it out. I had no money on me to go out and buy lunch. One of my coworkers asked me if was going to eat, but i had to lie. I haven't eaten since 5:30 this morning.
I come home hungry, only to find my 2 adult brothers and mom watching t.v doing nothing productive. Just to add, my 2 brothers had the day off from work. The first thing my mom tells me: "daughter, can you go and make pasta? There's no food ready." Unbelievable!
It's so upsetting because on weekends and my days off I cook which I never mind because I LOVE to cook for my family and I know how hungry they are when they come home from work/school. I said I was not going to cook for anyone, but myself. Plus, it was my brother's turn to cook today. (we have a schedule).
If i'm over reacting, please tell me.

Actually you have a right to be upset about anything.
Try to work things out and say to your mother you had a bad day and don't want to cook for anyone but your self.

If your family has a schedule, and they were too lazy to stick to it, and you haven't eaten anything today, you DO have a right to be upset.
Next time though, don't get mad - order pizza instead. Or tell them that if they can't stick to their schedule, ask them to order and pay for the food.

You do have a right to be upset. It is good that you did not give in a fix supper. Stick to your guns. They should take their turns also. You did not have to lie to your coworker though? Why did you feel that you had to do that?

no your not over reacting, but i'd just say get over it. lol, i mean, yeah, you had a sucky day, but in my opinion, if you have a super crappy day, then you get a day that's good to the same degree.
