so last thursday my dog went to get neutered, and of course they gave us instructions on how to take care of the dog after the surgery and gave us some medication. well he was fine the first 2 days after surgery then he started vomiting a lot.
we went to the vet and they said give him two days to see hows he doing.
well two days and he was still the same.
i called back and they told us to take him in and do all these tests to check up but i don't have the money and they wanted a fortune.
so i went to another vet for a second opinion and they couldnt do anything there.
for the past few days we've been doing everything we found on here to help him with the vomiting/lethargy
we tried a bunch of things and none some to work
and yes ive tried pedialyte

there seems to be no hope for my down
he cant hold water or food down.
so i've been considering to put him down
i love my dog very much but the vets cant even help him how am i supposed to.
ive done all i could
what do you think i should do?

Take him back to the vet and have the test done it is the only way to help your dog.
If you can't afford it here is the number for credit care:
1-800-365-8295 You can do this now and be approved in minutes. This way you can get the pup the vet care it most definitely needs.

Please get the credit and go see another vet. I lost a dog that I loved very much after taking him to an animal hospital where he spent 2 weeks and died because they took 2 weeks to decide he needed surgery. By that time he was too weak to make it through surgery. The bill was outrageous (I'm still paying almost 2 years later) but the sad part is that after speaking to several vets his condition was a common intestinal problem, and easy to treat had the 1st vet taken proper action sooner. If I could do things over, I would have gotten a second opinion before it was too late. Then I might have been able to spend many more years with my precious boy.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with your dog. I have a strange feeling that he may have an infection somewhere or maybe something went wrong with the surgery. Have him checked by yet another vet. Explain the problem to him letting him know what the other vets have said. Remember that all vets are not out there to soley help animals, some are like lawyers, they suck you dry financially.

Your vet really should have helped you out. If he's been vomiting this long, he's going to be very dehyrated. The least they could have done is given him an injection for vomiting and some SubQ fluids to rehydrate him. This is the minimum any vet can do! I would call around to other vets and let them know what is happening, and see if they can help out.

Don't put him down... Take him in and Shepard girl has it right there is a care credit you can apply for. Or ask to work out some form of payment with the vet, and if it has something to do with his surgery the vet may have to flip the bill for it.. There has to be something else you can do to help your animal out. I sacrifice alot for my pets, but i don't have children and they are well worth it....

What do you mean they can't help your dog, you said that you can't afford the test.. If you don't find out, he might die.. Why not find the money and get the testing done.. You cared enough to have him neutered, you have to find out what's wrong w/ him.
