As you all know my cat (neighbors cat) cannot come inside (although I let her in every once in a while) so I thought, for these next few days which are going to be cold until the weather warms up on Sunday, why not place a pillow case in the dryer and once it's warm, put it on her to warm her up for a bit? What do you guys think?

Great idea but why not give her a little bed and or box so she can get inside out of the cold with a warm blanket or towel to snuggle up in. Her body heat will keep her warm inside of a little hideout.

That's a great idea, towels work even better and keep the heat a little longer. You can also fill up a sock or a small pillow case with uncooked rice, put in it in the microwave for 2 mintues on high and that will keep toasty for a while.

We do this at work to help animals to keep warm while they recover after surgery.

A folded piece of polar fleece and a towel (together in combination) work very good at reflecting back body heat for a cat who's laying on it. If there's a quiet area that the wind doesn't get to, put down a 1 inch stack of folded newspapers, then the towel then the fleece and show the cat where it is.

You don't even need to preheat the towel. Just give the cat a spot out of the wind where it can squirm under it and she'll be warm and toasty in no time.

I think that is a terrific idea, and if it is a plain white one, she will be all ready for trick and treating as a little ghost for hallowe'en!
