Whenever I turn on the windshield wipers, my dog gets crazy. She barks, groans, and even sweats like a pig.
Therefore, I can't drive with her at rainy day..

What should I do?

It may be the windshield wiper motor itself that is hurting her ears or scares her. But it may be acting like that of a doggie whistle when you have it on.
If she is sweating like that, it is causing her a great deal of duress. I hate to say this because I'm sure you love having her with you, but you may not be able to have her with you on days that may have a chance of rain.

Or put a cover (quilt) on the hood of your car, have someone else to help you and turn on your wipers with her on the car to see if it is your wipers or the motor. If she hunckers down and barks, groans, doesn't try to get after your wipers, it is the motor. If you have no idea about motors, your next oil change, get them to check it. It may be getting ready to go out. If she attacks your wipers, see about getting a good pair of wipers that are quiet and use the RainX on your windows. It works wonders and also cuts down on all the noise when it rains since you don't have to use your wipers as much.
If that doesn't work, Try calling your Vet and see what they would suggest. That is about all I can offer you. I hope this works out for you and your baby is ok!

I think, the first thing I would do, is to get her ears checked by a Vet & see if he knows anything about anything such as this. If the Vet gives the dog a good bill of health, I'd put her in the back seat, strap her to the seat belt, & turn up the Radio, to muffle the Wiper Motor. If this doesn't work, I'd leave her at home, on those Rainy days, but I'd leave all of them at home, along with her, so that she doesn't feel slighted; dogs each has their own personalities, but I'd get those ears checked, to make sure there isn't any Medical reason for the Wiper Motor driving her bananas. I'm not a Vet; just a dog owner, for several years. So, this is all just my guess. I hope you will let us all know, once you find out. Good Luck.

I have the same problem with my 62 pound Lab mix and I am neither young enough or strong enough to hold onto her in order let her see that moving wipers are not a threat. The idea of gradually exposing her to the threatening movement isn t an option. This dog was dozing with her head on my lap last night when a commercial came on...moving wiper blades on the screen and she was instantly off the couch and in attack mode. Now what?

thank you for the advice approximately RainX. I have been given my automobiles' oil replace a pair of month in the past. They verify for each thing, which contain windsheild wipers. My vehicle is a 2009,and that i could desire to examine the wipers extra often because of the fact the warmth of the summer down the place I stay , makes the wiper blades harm swifter.

I have 3 dogs that I ride in the car and only one does this. She will try to get in the window and bite them while barking like crazy. The other dogs do nothing. The only thing I have found is to put a blanket over her when I turn them on. But that only works when it is light rain. She even goes crazy when we drive over rumble strips in the road. Temporary fix, but it helps sometimes. Good luck!

Maybe the high frequency sound of the wiper blades are bothering her.
The auto parts store should carry a wiper blade cleaner. Try that and see if it helps.

At first, dog training can seem pretty overwhelming, especially if this is your first dog. Truth be told, training your dog is a very big project. However, if you take it step by step, you will find the task to be far less daunting.
