Yes. It's rare, but it can happen. In fact, it's happened since I've been in. Since the military gets paid the day before the 1st and 15th... If the 1st falls on a Monday and that Monday happens to be a holiday, we would actually get paid the last Friday of the month, making it three times in one month.

Nope, only on the 1st and the 15th. If there are 31 days in the month then that means you have to wait for the next paycheck a few days more.

No, its either the 1st and the 15th or once a month.
On those unlucky times when a 3rd payday would fall in a month, you dont get paid. Unlike civilian workers that can get an extra paycheck those times, the military is set up on a set pay schedule.

Yes, it happened in the 1980's when Ronald Reagan was president. They shifted the October 1st payday to September 30th. So were were paid on the 1st, 15th and 30th of September. The effect was to "lower" the budget deficit for the next fiscal year that started on October 1st.

Theoretically it is possible. If the 1st falls on a Monday, the 15th is on a Monday, and the 1st of the next month is on Saturday or Sunday, then it will get paid on the Friday before. In my years of service, I have never had this happen. But in theory, it is possible.

No, payday is the 1st and 15th. If the 1st or 15th falls on a weekend, you get paid on the Friday before the weekend or holiday.

it actually does sometimes happen.......for instance Jan 1st and dec 31st are holidays......so no matter what day the 1st is on payday is dec 30 so in dec you get paid the 1,15, and 30....however you only get paid once in january (on the 15th) anytime the 1st is on a weekend or holiday you get paid the day before or the friday before....but it always takes the place of the payday for the 1st of the next month. october has 31 days but nov 1st is on a thursday so after payday on monday we have to wait 17 days till we get our next check.
