He died for you and he died for me. It was the most painful death ever invented by the evil mind of man.
I don't have an issue with Jesus but I do have one with anyone who mocks, belittles or in any way pokes fun at Jesus. I'm not sure what statements Jesus made, that you think would be heralded in some way, if some one else said it....like what, for instance?
He brought you the message that God loves you,,,and he sent Jesus so you might be saved from your sins..that all have sinned and come short...he spoke out against the religious leaders of the day....they cared more for the traditions than the person..they still do....and it is all still true....would people have a problem with being told they are sinners today?
Well, Preachers are still telling them and they are still rebelling..so there is nothing new under the Sun. Everything is still being preached today, every word Jesus said and unbelievers hate all of it,,they deny the complete message....they same they did back then,.....and will until Jesus comes back for his children.

The Jesus that is in the NT is a pretty cool guy, he had some good teachings, but I have a major problem with the New Testament itself and the teachings of the apostles and Paul. I don't honestly believe that Jesus is who they said he was, and Jesus probably never said that either (in regards to him coming to save us). He was one of many revolutionaries at that time period who taught a message of peace. This was a time of Roman oppression, and it had the Jews down. I'm sure he was just a lot like Buddah in trying to find a new path. The Jewish scriptures prophesied about a Messiah, so some people probably just used Jesus as the focal point to try to get control and they surely did!

I don't think they have a problem with Jesus. I believe they have a problem with the people who call themselves Christians and don't live the way Jesus Christ lived. That is who they have the problems with and they don't know how to express it.

All in all, he is a pretty good chap, well ahead of his time for the Bronze age. However, there are many others, both before his time and after, that have written better moral codes.
The one major problem Jesus has for me is that he believes and supports the concept a hell. That is eternal punishment for finite crimes. I cannot respect anyone who supports such a thing, regardless of the other good things he may have said.
He said we must hate our families to love god, to not waste time burying and respecting the dead. He did not decry slavery, and he was only modestly interested in equality amongst the sexes. Not a great record.
While he certainly said some good things (as was quite ahead of his time), he is still behind the times for the 21st century in a lot of ways, and hell is the #1 reason why.

I won't generalize about Christians as that's pointless; but I will observe about Jesus:
1) He had a home and a family, but abandoned them to go hoboing with strangers.
2) He learned a good trade but chose to live on charity.
Either of these would be enough to get any other man shunned in any polite society. ("Oh, you don't want to go out with _him_, dear, he's no good for you." That sort of thing.)

I don't know if Jesus actually even existed. And I certainly never met the man. So I don't have anything bad to say about him. Many of his followers, on the other hand, are colossal pains in the backside.

To tell you the truth,I'm not christian. It's not that they have problems with jesus,it's just that we don't believe in that stuff and we think religion separates our beliefs and our culture.
I'm not catholic or christian, not even anti-christ,just not religious.
I'm a person and I can do whatever I want with my life,I can turn into buddist or hindu religion studies...lose my life, which i think in the near future that won't happen...So,It's their life, you don't have to be christian or catholic or hindu...It is your life, you deside if you want to have a religion.

Nobody knows enough to say anything bad or good about Jesus.
Christians generally say bad things about other Christian denominations because it's all true. But they don't say anything bad about Jesus because he's been dead too long to know anything for certain about him

The people that are seemingly against Christianity usually have been burnt in one way or the other by a Christian. Jesus Christ commands us to love our neighbors and our enemies. Unfortunately that doesn't always happen...
