Just the ones who come to this site and claim to be Atheist. I think they do it for entertainment.

Dissent is not disrespect. Christians who whine about rude atheists invariably imagine their "beliefs" (superstitions, really) should be protected from rational criticism. They're not. The same First Amendment which protects your right to believe as you wish also grants me the freedom to criticize all forms of superstition. Religion has done so much damage to humanity, the very idea that superstitious belief should be protected from criticism is utterly absurd.
Oh, and for the record, I don't hate you or anybody else. What I do hate is what you've done to the English language. Apparently, my hard-earned tax dollars were completely wasted on your education.

I'm sorry people have been rude to you, but I'd be willing to bet it wasn't just Atheists. I'd also bet that not every Atheist you've ever met has been rude to you. You can't just generalize like that, because the same can be said for Christians, Jews, Pagans, people of all faiths. People aren't rude along religious lines only. It's sort of an all-inclusive trait and we're all guilty of it at some point.

First don't generalize.
Second the statement "Ur not always right" Why don't you listen to that for yourself. You think that just because it is what you believe that it is automatically correct. And just because I don't believe in a god doesn't mean that you need to belittle my point of view or "hate on me". I think that your side needs to respect others point of view before it can demand respect from others.

Many people are rude, not just athiests. I have seen people of all belief systems on here be rude. In fact, I have seen more Christians be rude than anybody else. And this saddens me because as a Christian the message I want to see spread is about God's love. And rude Christians do not show what God is truly all about.

Why do fundies love using the 'hate' word?
I have yet to hear an atheist say he hates a fundie or his 'god'.
If you want to believe in the invisible man in the sky you go right ahead.
It gives me something to point at and laugh at.

Some people are rude. Some are not. But I have seen rudeness on both sides of the fence.
I've also noticed that a lot of people (you might want to pay attention, dear) don't know the difference between 'hate' and 'anger'.

Not all of them are rude. You are generalizing and are doing the same thing that you criticize them for doing.
Please make an effort to spell correctly.
It makes a difference in the way oneis perceived.
I say this in love.
One of the things that some atheists criticize SOME of us for is the tendency to misspell and to make grammatical errors.
I realize that you're into text messaging, but please make an effort to write correctly.
I really do not believe they hate us. That would be terribly unfair!

I think that being critical and honest is more important than being polite and PC. Also, my rudeness is sometimes a reaction to people telling me I deserve to go to hell or passing off their beliefs as knowledge and telling other people that they're somehow inferior for not conforming to their beliefs.

Typical one sided judgmental attitude.
"Ur not always right. U may not beleive but I do"
Speak for yourselves. Though I guess that's only supposed to apply to us, huh?
Edit: You're 17? Well that explains it, kids your age always do think they are know-it-alls.

Are atheists rude?
May I ask why you have such disrespect for what I can only assume you believe is the gift of language God bestowed upon you?
