I don't think that in general "religious people" are aggressive at all in fact the bible teaches to be kind and meek and to turn the other cheek in offense. What I do think is some people give it a bad rap by acting ridiculous and out of character as a christian! Then saying they are one and making them all look aggressive TRUE christians shouldn't act that way. Also sometime when people feel passionate about something they tend to be aggressive in wanting others to feel the same way. If you truly believed your loved ones would burn in hell wouldn't you want to save them?? :)
God bless

Not everyone is and some of them are really nice people. Some religious individuals have invested a lot of themselves in what they believe and benefited from. These are deep personal choices very fine and sensitive that can become fire once disagreed upon.

Rather a sweeping statement and certainly not universally true.

I would imagine some religious people are aggressive because they feel their religion is right, and anyone who does not believe as they do is not worthy and will take measures to either convert or eliminate.

And atheists aren't?

Just look at North Korea. Spreading religion is treason there. 300,000 Christians have died in the last half-century. 60,000 are currently in labour camps awaiting "punishment" (execution by the State)

Are you implying that religious people are agressive and atheists aren't?

I'm not religious, but I'm a Christian and I don't find myself aggressive.

Because they're forced to live to a set of rules that they don't really want to do, but do them because they think that it will make them go to heaven. When all they'd have to do it get saved and it'd be a whole lot easier.

I think aggression is the way of our society.
I don't think it's specific to religion or lack there-of.
