can i get a traffic ticket on private property in indiana? on a mall parking lot for speeding, reckless driving, and unsafe start? i was told u cannot get a ticket on private property??

the police officer was going to get a shoplifter at sears and saw my b/f sqeal his tires and got to 85 mph. ticketed him for unsafe start, speeding, and reckless driving...... is that legal?

You can get a ticket yes because you could be in dangering public safety.Most malls have security on property their job is to patrol and protect the property they also have the power to contact the police in the event of a crime.And the police do patrol and moniter malls and give tickets when nessacery.

I don't think you can, ask a lawyer, unless the owner of the property called the police, it won't stand up in court. Make sure that the property is not contracted by the police.. Good luck.

yes, trafic laws still apply on private property used for public purposes.

They can even get you on your own property.
Endangerment covers A LOT.
