He is actually very good. Well, there have been several lapses of judgment. But over all, I'm happy with him. However, he has never taken a driver test nor is he legal in this country. He does work very cheaply and does a bang up job on keeping the car clean and shiny. Plus his Spanish come in quite handy when he picks up day laborers at Home Depot.

I know this is a joke question. You and him will both find out when you get pulled over for speeding, and accident, tail light etc . Let your buddy go back to mexico. And find a real legal driver that you have to pay that doesn't drive on the wrong side of the road and cause accidents. And then he says to the cop sorry me no comprande, or no speakin the english. I've worked with them people before and I know they're llegal. And if you smuggled him into the country I hope you get busted. illegal immigration.

If he is going to drive your car on the public roadways - then yes, he has to have a valid drivers license. Sorry...gotta say it.. but ..duh..
..that's why the legislature took the time to pass the law and the DMV took the time to set up the equipment to take the written test and have people go out on road tests and why the highway patrol and pd took the time to hire officers to give out tickets and arrest folks for driving with out a license.
