We do not die, our body dies, but we live on. We are spirits, the body is nothing more than a house, so our spirit can enjoy the things of the physical world. When the Time is come we are "Born Again"
Jesus said No new wine in old bottles.
Luke 11:24-26 explains it all, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
A clean spirit has a choice of staying in Paradise or returning to earth, but when you are "Born again" you remember nothing about your past life, or heaven. But you keep your strongest traits, subconsciously.
When our time on earth is over, we come back as one of the 7 other spirits, no one (spirit) has ever died.
To those who believe your body is your life, Jesus said "let the dead bury the dead"

The verses you quoted do not talk about human spirits returning to the "house". . that is a reference to demons (fallen angels). The "house" is the body of a man who, previously had been demon-possessed, and then the demons were kicked out (by an exorcist), but the person didn't fill himself with the proper spirit (the Spirit of God), so the demons were able to come back and make the man more messed up (more demon-possessed) than he was in the first place. This is what Jesus is talking about here.
By the way, there is plenty of scientific proof that supports the Bible. Nothing that "proves" the Bible is true, but it agrees and fits perfectly with the Bible. There is no proof anywhere that will "prove" to someone who refuses to accept something that a given thing is true. So you can't "prove" to certain people that the world is round, even tho it is plainly seen from satellite pictures and the pictures we have taken from the lunar spaceships. Even with those pictures and the understanding that you can fly all around the earth and come back to the same place, some people refuse to believe the earth is not flat. And some people refuse to believe that man landed on the moon, and they still think it was done on a soundstage in Hollywood.
Likewise, even with the mountains of overwhelming evidence that the Bible is true, many people who are even aware of this evidence refuse to accept it, and instead choose to deny reality, mostly because they don't want to live their life the way God tells them to. That's their problem, and He will hold them to account for it after this (physical life) is over, and He will send them to the same place He sends the demons and the same place He sent Hitler and Stalin.

The reason our bodies die, scientifically, is the fact theres an aging gene. Also, it doesn't initiate till about 40, which it then starts breaking down the body. Without it, we could in a sense live forever. And out of every single gene in a human, the aging gene is a constant.
Also, there was scientific proof of a spiritual realm if you will to help support the bible. I can't remember where, but if I find it ill post it here.

We die because we cannot live forever. we die because The Lord has a plan for us and because we have to go and lIve in our Fathers house after this life. Jesus said he was going to prepare a place for us and that is one of the reasons we die so that we share that place with him and rervelation says it all.
I suppose you want to see God don't you? the only way to go to heaven and to see him is if you die cuz no man sees God and stays alive he is a supernatural being. And we have to go to him thru Jesus christ. all that matters is your Spirit not your Body. It says from Dust we came and to dust we will return.

That verse means that if you clean or cast out an evil sprit without filling in that 'space' with the Holy Spirit, than it leaves the spiritual 'door' open for 7 more wicked spirits to enter. Once you have the Holy Spirit resident in you then no other evil spirit can enter.
"Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world..."

Our life on earth is only a temporary stage. This "stage" is full of mysteries, happiness and joy but also sadness. God gave us to the gift of life AND of free will to do with our lives what we want. However, he also gave us "instructions" (the commandments/the bible) on how we should live it.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that, if we earn it, could have eternal life with God. NOBODY truly knows what is to die or what heaven is like and I would not want to go crazy thinking about it either.
Concentrate on LIVING your life to the fullest in a responsible and loving way by doing your best, by caring for others, by forgiving, by pleasing God. Do not worry about death, with God ANYTHING is possible.
Peace,
Javy

Adam & Eve were immortal before they sinned.Butafter they sinned, death came into the world because of their disobediance. And it has been with us ever since:
Genesis 3:17-19 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return."

You ask a simple question and proceed to answer your own question with a bunch of fairy tale idiocy. Where do you profess to have gained all this knowledge of the so-called purported "afterlife"? If there was one shred of truth in anything you have said you could rule the world.

Good question. Which raises another: Why do some Christians say you go to the "grave" after death? Spirit doesn't sleep: Spirit cannot be inanimate. I believe you are judged immediatly upon death.
(You see most these people did not read your details. Happens to me all the time.)

Your body is designed to last about 40-50 years. Any time alive after that-consider it a bonus.
