Jesus taught us not to condem others and hate (for people, as opposed to actions) is not part of Christianity. Are you sure the people answering you on these sites are Christian at all? There are also a number of misguided 'Christians' around and even the best of them are prone to messing up. It's part of being human and why we need Jesus in the first place.

First off let him without sin cast the first stone. Nobody on this world can condemn you to hell and if they are trying, they are out of line. Jesus does love us and the fact that He would die on the cross for the few true believers is what baffles me. It's a good thing that you study religions everywhere so you can see what they have in common. But i'm afraid that you must be a full hearted Christian to be accepted by God into heaven. Rev 3:14-19 You are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of My mouth. For you say 'I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing.' You don’t realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked."
I wish you luck in your studies and hope that you find the same truth i have.
God Bless

I guess you didn't encounter the True Born Again Christian! For God said; Col 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Also; 2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Meaning a True Born Again Christian is like Lord Jesus Christ, having patience unto all! Amen.
If you're really studying, study the Holy Words from God and Lord Jesus Christ, KJVR and other acceptable version. Must begin with prayer, talking to God, asking Him to give you wisdom and discernment! AMEN.

The people you spoke to were poor Christians at best. I have and never would assume I know who is going to Hell. Do not assume we are all like the idiots you came across. Study all religions there is nothing wrong with that, in fact it is encouraged when one goes in to the priesthood, and for those getting their doctorates in the Ministries. Understanding faith is a part of Christianity.

Well, this Irish / Scottish / German / Spanish Protestant Christian man (me) says that you should neither listen to those other Christians or hang around those other Christians.
But I will tell you that God is one, and He is found in the Bible. Sorry you had to go through that, but perhaps they were wrong about what to tell you, but were right in saying that God does not want you to worship other gods. Neither do you need other religions to understand Him.
I could tell you why, but I'll either answer another question of yours later (I am here a lot) or you can e-mail me. I would like to know why you think that the Bible is not sufficient to know the truth about God.

Jesus said the only way to go to heaven is thru him. He is God, and he came to earth not to be served but to serve others. thats what christians should be doing. Alot of christians try to condemn others for their actions yet the bible says "Why do you pick a speck out of ur brothers eye when you have a plank in your own?" Jesus was the only true christian, and christians of today need to imitate his actions and his words. he did not come to condemn us all, he came to become a sacrifice so that we could enter the kingdom of heaven.

There's a story that once a barbarian was visiting the Roman court and they were performing some kind of ritual to which the barbarian strongly objected. So the Roman who had invited the barbarian turned to his fellow Romans and said "Sorry. He thinks the laws of his tribe are the laws of the universe!"... It is the same with Christians...

actually this whole "God loves you" thing is recent the church used to say that everyone went to purgatory 1st no matter what, now they say we can go straight to heaven.
and no, those are just crazy Christians, there is no right or wrong religion and its not your fault that you are all those ethnicities (not saying its a bad thing)
there is nothing wrong with accepting bits and pieces of many religions, its just not common
and people aren't willing to accept what is different from them, don't worry about it, you will only burn if you reject God completely

Christians who turn Christ's words of love into hate, I believe really aren't true Christians. They twist the bible to promote their beliefs, not Christ's mission for us.
That being said, you can find those type of people in all religions. That's why we are human

Explain examine. All I can think of is that you shouldn't hate the religion because a couple Christians don't follow what they say themselves, they too are wrong.
