I have an extremely large kitchen...........I have a light wood floor, many darker cabinets and a large diningroom within my kitchen..........I can actually fit 30 or so people in my kitchen and they won't even bunk elbows.........It's done basically in soft earth tones with white as the breaking color..........It's modern, has a walk in pantry and coat closet.........I really don't know what kind of a theme it would be called except for modern........Everything matches and I even did the tiling myself........In my apt. it's absolutely the largest room and the others are fair sized...........Sorry that I can't really give it theme name better than modern..........CAT

Cherries!! My walls are a pale sea-green, like the vintage green you see in 40's-era jadeite. Then, I have a black and red cherry border stenciled around the walls at ceiling level, vintage half-moon drawer handles and cabinet pulls in brushed nickel, and curtains made of Mary Engelbreit's tiny cherries-on-black all-over print fabric and green and red trim. My cabinets are all natural oak stained a medium fruitwood color, but I have 4" wide shelves over my windows that are painted black (my curtains hang from rods built into the shelving supports). I display all kinds of things on the shelves, like vintage spice tins, jadeite pieces, cookie cutters and other vintage kitchen ware, etc. - as long as it is primarily green or red! Wish I could post a pic....

Hope this helps!

I have a pretty extensive collection of Coca-cola things, so I decorated around that. I painted the walls yellow, so the red would POP, and then I painted the trim the same red color. Now I'm looking for curtains, but I think I might just go for a checkered/gingham pattern or chili peppers or something. I don't want it *all* Coke, I just wanted that accented.

chickens and I guess they are really popular at the moment as I see them on the decorating shows that are currently on TV but I hand-painted mine and also free-handed some polka dotted chickens on the cabinets, camera is broken or I would post a pic. Think about a bright yellow for the wall colors and it is easy to pick out complimentary colors to match yellow since it is a primary color

A mish-mash of things from the past, with no recollection of the present and way too cheap to ponder the future.
