Because Eve got this curiously bright idea, and Adam decided to ignore the good sense that God gave him!!!

When asked why things die, physicists don’t hesitate: It’s the second law of thermodynamics. Everything, be it mineral, plant, or animal, a Lexus or a mitral valve or a protein in a cell wall, eventually breaks down.
Why do we die ? Because we are born .
If we didn't die but people still were born , world population would become too big and excessive for available space on our planet .
We need to die if new people ( new generations ) need to have a place on this world .

That's the way we were designed, as are all things. We finish one life-cycle and move on to the next as do plants and all other living creatures. Even rocks erode after time, become smaller more minute particles until they eventually become dirt. That mixed with all the other decomposing matter that feeds it to become nutrient-rich soil in which other life forms are produced and feed other life forms. It's a wonderful circle and as long as we don't mess with it the whole design works perfectly.
But we (mankind) have a tendency to think we can improve on perfection. It's called a God complex, and as you can see by the way things are spiralling out of control with the environment and technology, we've put things in jeopardy somewhat. Not that it wouldn't happen eventually, but we certainly haven't helped to slow down the process any. It's a darn good thing we do die, as far as I'm concerned. This planet is already over-populated by our species.

Do you think we are made of stainless steel?
Old cells begin to make mistakes in reproducing themselves. These mistakes mount up, and at some point a major malfunction occurs.
Considering that we get more and more decrepit as we get older (toothless, blind, deaf, demented, etc.) why would you want to live forever? Wouldn't it be nice to have a brand new body and start a brand new life (this is the theory of reincarnation).
If there was no death, think of how overpopulated the Earth would be. Life feeds on life, and death is not the opposite of life, but a doorway to another life.

We do not die, our body dies, but we live on. We are spirits, the body is nothing more than a house, so our spirit can enjoy the things of the physical world. When the Time is come we are "Born Again"
Jesus said No new wine in old bottles.
Luke 11:24-26 explains it all, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
A clean spirit has a choice of staying in Paradise or returning to earth, but when you are "Born again" you remember nothing about your past life, or heaven. But you keep your strongest traits, subconsciously.
When our time on earth is over, we come back as one of the 7 other spirits, no one (spirit) has ever died.
To those who believe your body is your life, Jesus said "let the dead bury the dead"

Because we'd be even more over populated then we already are. And because everything has a beginning and an end. And because living forever would be boring. And because knowing that you're gonna die one day is more fun because you wanna do everything before it happends :D

The make way for the next generation to produce and thrive. The more generations you have, the more variation in the gene pool. From a scientific point of view that's a good thing.

We die because of Adam and Eve's original sin.God had made them perfect, but they also had free will. So, when they sinned against God,they changed the course of all mankind.

We all, and every thing else has a shelf life, including our planet ,solar system, galaxy and universe. Its part of the greater cycle of life. While you are alive live your life to the full as you only get on shot at it . Have a great day and smile and be happy.

everything has a "sell by" date!.
EVRYTHING HAS ITS END...... this is the way God wants it to be. Religion has the answer to this question!
how about studying every religion and see what it as to say about "death" and why we die?
you will be surprised.
i guess educated people are more likely to study this in depth, and the ones that are also unsure as to what faith they should embrace.... studying is the best policy!
i personally feel Islam has the perfect answer in their holy Quran
cheers
