Iam not talking about an arched window
the windows follow the roof line ,basicly the shape is a triangle and it covers the whole upper 2/3 of the west facing wall so need something to keep the sun out

It depends on what you mean by a cathedral window. Are you talking about an arched palladian? These windows usually require a custom fit. You might want to look into all the window covering options, pleateds most often are used for unusual windows. If your window is an upper level palladium, it shouldn't need a covering but if it is one on the first level, you can hang a rod across the top and do a drape. If the window has an arch above and a large square window under, you can just cover the square with drapes, mini blinds or wooden blinds you can buy over the counter. It just depends on where your window is and what type of window you are talking about.
