If the test is tomorrow there isn't much you can do. You could call someone in your class and ask for their help or there are on-line sources that may help you complete the assignment if you can remember the details. When you talk to your teacher be very respectful and don't make excuses. Admit that you made a mistake and would like to correct it. Most teachers will be willing to give a student who comes to them first and talks to them about the problem an extension. I know I would and I have. Again, don't make excuses. Just say you messed up and be very apologetic. Good Luck

try calling the teacher at home and explaining the problem. She will understand that you had clear intent to do the work and might agree to let you meet her there early tomorrow to do the work before school starts, or might even give you the extension. Teachers can be pretty nice people if they know you care about learning the material.

Another option is to call a friend from class and ask to borrow their book tonight as soon as they are done with the assignment. or maybe do the assignment together.

Is there a way you can somehow get back to the school to get the book you need? I hope you have a really understanding teacher because that's a huge favor you're asking - to get an extension. Be honest if you can't get the book. If you end up with no sympathy, just try your best. Learn from this mistake and grow. Good luck!

First of all, calm down and breathe! You're never going to get anything done if you just psych yourself out. Get organized with your speech; set up a flow chart of how you want it to go and the different points that you want to make in each paragraph. Then, with the power point, use pictures, color, and make it interesting without being too intricate. Try and follow the same format as your essay, but less loaded down with facts. For the power point, use bullets and know your information! Teachers can see right through kids who did it the night before and have no clue what they're talking about! Although it is the night before, if you get organized, get to work, and calm down, there's no reason you can't be prepared and get a good night's sleep too. Hope everything works out for you!

Review your notes and homework. You did write things down, right? If you do poorly, I hope you don't cram algebra as it needs daily practice, then ask your teacher for a take over exam for extra points. If you can't manage the above you could be sick tomorrow, but you will still have to face it eventually. The world will go on and so will you but you'll have to really study for the rest of the semester and ace the final.

First off are you on good terms with the teacher?

Secondly, call friends or look up people in your class who could have the book

Third, see if there is anyway the internet can help you

can you contact another classmate to see if you could share their book? You could write the teacher a not explaining your situation, but I dont think they would understand. Try going to your local library and see if they carry that book. Check online. Try all possibilities and dont give up.
