I am a Canadian citizen and I understand that I would need a green card to join the marines. How easy and how long would it take me to get a green card so that I can enlist?

You might want to check with the nearest Marines recruiting office but basically it's like trying to get any other job in the US. You'll need a police security check ( possibly provided by the RCMP) and copies of your school records. If you have no criminal record and your high school diploma, then you shouldn't have any problem getting in.

They will expedite your citizenship when you want to join the armed forces. I had a friend that was Canadian and he joined the National Guard and it took him like 3 months start to finish. They look at how long you have been state side and go by that. He had been here since childhood.

Getting into the Marines is easier than getting into most strip joints. Just tell a recruiter you want to join. They will take care of everything.
