The other day me and my wife went to work and since our normal sitter was sick we took him to a day care center. The day care center has some kind of 8th grade assistant program to have the 8th graders help with the kids. And one of the 8th graders told my son about masturbation. Is this good because he'll need to learn these things or is he still to young he just turned 5 and i talked to the center about him and they suspended him but what should i do?
Its freaking me out!

i wouldn't freak out... though it was a sever misjustice that an 8th grader told your child this, turn it into a positive note. you didn't say how much information was given so, i will assume that the entire subject was discussed and in detail. i would just agree or disagree with the information given. if it is something you disagree with, i would correct it but i would not make an issue out of it in front of your child as you do not want them to be afraid to talk with you about it. they are bound to find out sooner or later and it seems these days like other people are getting to our kids before we can.
I am thinking while i am typing this and i am wondering... how did this happen? are you concerned that maybe something else happened... not to put fear into your already tough situation, but i would be concerned about possible molestation and would look into it.
good luck and my thoughts are with you....

Your child was WAY to young. Be aware that teens molest young children just as well as adults. This was very in appropriate and would raise a great concern with how this 8th grader interacts with young children. He could very easily be a pedophile - after all what reason would he have to discuss something sexual with a young child he did not know.
I would never take my child back to that particular day care it is evident that while they need to keep closer tabs on their 8th graders.
Discuss it with your wife but you might consider turning it into the authorities as this boy might be able to get help early before he ruins his life and the life of other children.
You can't be too careful concerning your children!

He is too young but the seed has been planted. If he asks questions just answer only his question and no more. for example: How do you masturbate? You stimulate your sex organ. I wish you good luck.
