I just got a phone call for a job offer to be a Methodist Minister. I have heard that everyone has their price.

Though I disagree with Methodist on various doctrines, $107,000 per year is tempting. (3 x's what I make now)

And yes it was a real job offer.

I won't actually take the offer, I just thought this was amusing. What do you think? SHould I take it? LoL

If you agree with Methodist doctrine, you are a man, you are available for this position, and you truly want to do the work of a pastor, then you should take the position. But since you don't agree with them all, you should stay put or do something else.

Who in the world offered you the job?
Since only the local Methodist Bishop or Superintendent can hire or fire you I'd make sure the call was from her or him before you quit your day job.

To be a Methodist minister, you have to be a Methodist. Since you disagree with their doctrine, you can't be a Methodist.

His loss. He must have switched over to Christianity. Methodists do not cuss or drink, overtly, yet additionally they don't practice 'being born back contained in the spirit' doctrine of their perception gadget. Do gooders of whom you would say are on the wonderful luke warmth, or perhaps it quite is truly worth being spewed from God's own mouth. anybody could study the e book of Revelation contained in the bible. as well basically being a blessing to study it by using, you'll discover your faith defined by using God because the factors he likes about you and the factors that in case you gained't replace he will get rid of your candle from it truly is stand. until eventually he changed into born back like Jesus informed Nicodemus he should be to be saved in John 3:3, and emphasised by using Jesus in John 3:7, at the same time as he says "ask your self not when I tell ye, that ye should be born back ", this minister isn't even a real christian. Do you imagine your church or faith can do this for you? the wonderful they could do is inform you the gospel of Jesus Christ and carry altar calls at facilities for those prepared to illustrate their hearts and lives over to Jesus Christ. I had one do this o.k., assembly of God alongside with many superb non-denominational finished gospel church homes. in case you do not listen altar calls as I defined above on your church, leave it. it truly is useless with useless adult adult males's bones interior. My rivalry is that so what if he turned right into a church minister, changed into he a minister of Jesus Christ, changed into he born back contained in the spirit? If he changed into born back and he rejects God's Holy Spirit which indwells believers then he gained't be allowed to go back because he can't positioned Jesus Christ to the go anew. He has finished it once for all and once you've it and provides you it up, it truly is lengthy gone. If he wasn't a christian to commence with then he's on his thanks to hell besides because he's already condemned for not believeing on Jesus Christ yet no worse off than the apostate god worshippers of Islam. yet he can nevertheless turn to Christ because he has not tasted of the presents of the Holy Spirit. I pray he wasn't a christian to commence with. yet on the different hand I even understand a few catholic christians.

Is it a United Methodist Church?
Or a Free Methodist Church?

No you should stay a christian. Perhaps when if u became this mininster then you could have taught the truth. Jesus+nothing else= salvation. not Jesus+my denomination=salvation. YOu don't need to be baptized to go heaven and stuff like that.

But i totally understand why you did that. I do not consider myself a baptist even i go to a baptist church. Don't do what your church says to do. DO what to Bible says to do. I mean when it somes to salvation to stuff like that you know?

Why would you change your faith/denomination for a job offer? Wishy washy aren't we? Smells like the evil love of money to me.

Not to mention the fact that MOST ministers I would hope are ministering because they LOVE THEIR FAITH, NOT for the $$!

Wow. Leaders of the God Squad get a pretty penny these days.
Wouldn't it be more beneficial to give that to the poor amongst us, Minister?

There is only one church, the Body of Christ. I think this is a good denomination, and there is no reason to refuse expressed except for a rejudice against a denomination that believes (like yours) in Christ as the WAY and Lord.
