crook neck squash with sweet onions. the 2 flavors meld so well together. use a little butter and sugar and sautée the 2 together until tender cover through most of the cooking time until the last few minutes to cook off any liquid
make me feel like when I was a kid long ago at my grandma's house...good stuff!

Nothing beats corn cobs with butter during any season of the year. The first few years of my life was spent in a rural setting and I learned to appreciate having this treat straight from the cob.

Sweet onions. (vidalia in particular). They can be added to any other vegetable to perk it up. They make a delicious soup (french onion). You can batter and deep fry them, bake and stuff them, slice them onto burgers, add them to almost any dish to add a bit of zing. carmalize them to go with meat-the possibilities are almost endless!!
