Jesus was referring to VAIN repetition, eg yelling and babbling over and over.
I think the fact that Jesus said the same prayer twice in the garden of gethsome(or was is 3x?), shows how He felt about repetitious prayer
yes, i pray the Our Father every day.

He said we should pray always. Prayer from the heart is conversational prayer between you and God. Memorized prayer also has it's place. It's about meditation... if a person can make a habit of praying when they don't necessarily feel like praying, they will remember God's commands so that they may do them. Our minds/bodies can be weak and prone to sin. But if your will is strong to do God's will, then you have a chance... memorized prayer helps with this. It's like setting a cirtain time aside for bible reading everyday, (even though you probably read those passages a hundred times)... it's like a Jewish person who fastens a mizuzah to his doorpost, touching it with a kiss every time he enters or leaves his home... it makes you practice keeping your mind on God and His faithfulness to you, nomatter what.

I pray it every day no matter what, sometimes I pray it multiple times. Everything these days is considered repetition, this was the prayer that was set out for us to pray.
You also do other things every day, like brush your teeth, go to the bathroom, go to sleep . Those are all repetition but also necessary for every day life.
We do what is good for us every day, each day is a new day and it all makes a difference in your life.

Why the heck would you promise to declare so darn many? next time promise to declare 15. can't bypass incorrect with that! each and each man or woman would nod off repeating the comparable mantra for 2 hours! Heck, God in all possibility fell asleep listening to you!

We are not praying the "Our Father" in vain. If we just said to be saying as in a way to show off then we would being doing it in vain and not mean it. Me and my husband say the "Our Father" at the beginning of our prayers 3 times daily, along with the Hail Mary. Jeus says to say it every day when He speaks the line of "gives us this day our daily bread"

No, he said to pray "in this manner." He didn't say to pray that exact prayer.
Just repeating that prayer is akin to repeating the Oscar Meyer wiener song. It is of little utility, and you tend to forget what the words actually mean for the sake of keeping the beat.

Jesus was Showing how we should remain spiritually EVERYDAY. I think those words act as reminders. If you repete everyday, you think about it. If you look @ the words written in the scripture, they go pretty much in depth.

it was a guide to prayer, not a simply what we pray
prayer is talking to God. That they asked this was good for we learn something important
use it as a guide, but I talk to God about what is bothering me pretty much the way I would talk to anyone else,
