Im doing a research paper on rights. African American Rights, Women Rights, and Gay Rights. What could be the purpose for me writing this paper? Any Ideas?

The purpose is to learn that although everyone is different, everyone has the right to their own beliefs and lifestyle as long as they don't impose on someone else's rights.

If by purpose, you mean theme, there are many approaches. You could look at the history of the civil rights movement for instance. You could concentrate on one group, such as women or african americans. You culd compare and contrast the struggles of two or more groups. You could research the feasability or the questions of morality posed by the gay rights movement.
