I live in the U.S. and am wondering how hard it is to move overseas? (Mainly the UK) How different is it? What is it like in the UK? Any information will be helpful! Thanks!

First responder is correct. To do: contact British embassy or consulate to check on requirements; these will probably depend on whether or not you expect to be employed there. Sell everything that is less than essential, as freight costs are huge. Be prepared for sticker shock when it comes to buying things there; they are a lot more expensive than in the US. Until I went to the UK last month, Palo Alto had the most expensive housing I had ever seen, but the Islington area of London is far more expensive.

It's a lot easier if you already have a job that can take you overseas. Your company often will pay for your moving expenses and even give you a housing allowance.
