global warming is COMPLETE BS..
Take a look at al gores documentary for example, he exaggerates his figures by 1000%, as proven by one of his former colleagues. He also fails to accurately show the warm period in medieval times of which the years were hotter on average then any other time in history. Hes telling us all to ride our bikes to work wen he flies a personal lear jet around the world and 4 out of 5 of his houses consume 20 times more energy then the normal consumer..
Theres something wrong here..
The media are all leftiess.

So, somehow you think you are smarter than the professional scientists who have developed the theory of manmade global warming? Uh, I don't think so.
Here's the deal: The scientists KNOW that the Earth goes through normal and natural heating a cooling cycles. This is what caused the ice ages, and caused the warming between the ice ages. Scientists KNOW this. Since they know this they have been able to MEASURE what the future warming and cooling trends should be like. They have determined that according to the historical data that the current warming trend we are in is VERY different from what is expected. So, what is different about the Earth between the previous natural warming trends and the one we are in now? Humans emitting greenhouse gases.
Oh! Well, if you have numbers from a conservative magazine then I apologize. Clearly your numbers are automatically correct! How about you give me the citation from that conservative magazine that details exactly how they arrived at only 43% of scientists believe in global warming.
What's that? You can't provide that actual evidence that proves those numbers? Huh...didn't think so.

This is really quite simple.
Yes the Earth goes through natural climate change cycles. These are called Milankovitch Cycles. According to these cycles, we should be in the middle of a COOLING period right now:
"An often-cited 1980 study by Imbrie and Imbrie determined that 'Ignoring anthropogenic and other possible sources of variation acting at frequencies higher than one cycle per 19,000 years, this model predicts that the long-term cooling trend which began some 6,000 years ago will continue for the next 23,000 years.'"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milankovich_cycle
So no, the current warming is clearly not due to natural cycles. Scientists have examined all the possibilities and determined that 80-90% of the warming over the past 30 years has been due to human greenhouse gas emissions.

You cannot use "common sense" to reason out why global warming is happening, because the Earth's climate is a very complex system. You have to first have a lot of information before your common sense will work.
Saying 'gee, climate change happened in the past without humans around' doesn't tell you anything except that humans might not be causing it. Investigating further tells you that we are.

As a lot i favor to agree that AGW is hogwash I actual ought to chat about that your attempt is a non-sequitur. If each and each and every of the floating ice melts and the oceans amplify it's going to make not oftentimes any enormous difference in any respect. it quite is the idea of your attempt and it may be fantastic, notwithstanding the precedence with melting ice is that once ice on continents melt it is going to upload to the sea factor. it truly is more desirable like melting a block of ice beside your sink so as that the runoff is going into the sink. notwithstanding this procedure is so slow that it quite is a not an challenge. we gained't truly lose a lot land mass contained in the international because as we lose section we are able to earnings it in different parts at the same time as ice recedes. We could lose a pair of low mendacity islands, notwithstanding it quite is nature and could take position in any case, they could migrate like each and every all our ancestors did contained in the previous. The coast will flow up somewhat and some homes will be misplaced over the subsequent couple hundred years notwithstanding it quite is portion of the prospect of shifting next to the sea.

There are plenty of explainations as to why GW is caused by humans (Anthropogenic GW) Dana is pretty reliable, so is Wiki. I will try and clear up some of the confusion caused by Answers.
Lots of confusion in Answers is caused by people pointing out that Earth's climate has always gone through changes, and is still going through them. Nobody is denying that, apart from creationists perhaps, sorry, not really relevant.
Over the last few years we have started to see some of the effects of climate change in the increased amounts of freak weather (it is not as simple as an increase in temperatures) The effects of climate change effect us upto 50 years after the Greenhouse gas emissions so we are not seeing the effects of our current emissions but of emissions after 1957.
98.5% of scientific evidence suggests that human activity is causing a rapid change in the environment. These changes are expected to be very diificult for humans to get along with.
'Some people don't like change, while others don't like climate change'
.
Please question again to clear up any details.

I'm glad to see that other people are actually using common sense to explain what is happening with the climate! It's a natural cycle that has nothing to do with man.
The earth may be warming, but it's doing it all on it's own with no help from us. The only assist it may be getting is from the sun which also goes through cycles of temperature change. That explains why Venus and Mars are also going through warming trends at the same time as the Earth.
I think the ruling by the British court that all students had to be warned against political indoctrination prior to seeing Al Gore's propaganda film is a great indication that people are finally waking up to the stupidity of the whole "man-made global warming" fraud.

This fits into with NAFTA, CAFTA and WTO. The UN wants a reason to exist so they need a catastrophe waiting to happen so that they can start regulating the citizens of every nation.
On a side note, the UN has in its charter or motto "Man's last hope." To me as a Christian, saying something like that is more than arrogant. God is my Hope!
GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Edit: The ice caps on Mars are melting too according to Scientist (not us mindless Christians). Please don't tell me that my gas guzzling SUV is melting Mars too!

It's really frustrating to keeping repeating the undeniable facts for those who choose to burn themselves up, and the planet, and the rest of us with them.
What it all comes down to is that we are all going to look really stupid (for lack of a better word) when the planet goes to hell (fiery and /or frozen remains to be seen) and we did nothing to try and stop it or at least figure out how we are going to survive through it. What a bunch of turkeys!!!
END OF STORY.

Earth may be warming. It tends to do that in cycles. Sun heats up, so do the planets. Sunspot activity increases, temps rise. Krakatoa blows up, the world gets cold for several years.
But it is not Man that is doing it. What utter presumption to think that anything we can do will disrupt God's planning!
