I only worked for the first six weeks of the year, with a total gross of no more than $2,200. If I claim my kids, will I still get the maximum EIC?

You won't get the max but you might get around $900 extra( est. from '06, '07 isn't out yet).
You may also get the Child Tax and Additional Child Tax credit as well.

With the latter, just answer a few questions and you can easliy find out if you qualify and for how much.

You won't get anywhere near the maximum EIC, but you should be eligible for some payment.
