It seems that to have debt is a source of interest on yahoo questions, but more and more people do so this question is not surprising. I'm actually interested to see how many of you do not! Adults only. Please state you age to. This should be interesting! Small amounts I will not consider as debt. Let's say under $100.

I'll go first. 28. $76 I owe for my Metro card I charged earlier this month.

If you don't include the mortgage, we have no outstanding debt and haven't for 15 years. We do have credit cards, but don't use them. We pay cash for everything, including our vehicles. We have never had the wants. We buy what we need, when we need it. We don't spend lavishly or unnecessarily. We go on holiday every year, have reliable vehicles and alot of nice things. It is the wants that get people into financial debt.

the only debt my husband have is our mortgage and one car note. we own no credit cards and the only things we ever finance (like thru store credit) are things that have 0% apr. debt sucks. i saw my parents struggle to pay off different debts when i was growing up and knew i never wanted to be in that situation.

45 yrs old and the only debt I have beside my mortgage
cable electric phone internet is a 500.oo credit card

The only debt we have is our mortgage and monthly house expenses (gas, phone, etc). We have no cc debt or car loans. We are 34

I have my mortgage, and payments on one of our three cars. And we put all our household expenses on credit cards so I usually have several thousand dollars at any one time -- but I pay them fully every month and never pay finance fees.

I pray that I will have that less one day soon but mine is all paid on time and never late. A student loan It's down to $6,000... I feel it will never go away haha ha !
