Often the type of hair you have affects how long the curl will last. Having fine hair could be the reason the curls fall out so quickly. By putting a curling jell or hairspray on Before and After, the curlse should most likely last quite a while longer. And to give an extra kick try using a ceramic curling iron. While these are high priced curling irons, they definitly work the best.

I used to have the same problem, the curl would not hold longer than 1 hour!! Solution: Before you curl the piece of strands moisten it with WATER a little bit. Trust me this works and your curl will last all day. Using all those hairsprays and other hair products will only weigh your hair down which is why the curl just falls away. You could finish off your curls with just a light spray of hairspray, but not too much.

If you have long straight hair like mine, you probably won't get long-lasting curls with a curling iron.
It may not give you the style you want, but I have better luck with hot rollers. It also seems quicker to me, since I can put all hair up, spray it with spray gel, and then do something else (put on makeup or dress) while curlers are working. The bigger rollers you use, the less curly it will be, just like the barrel size of curling iron. You can always touch up curls with curling iron (especially around face) to get just the style you want, then spray with the best-holding hairspray you can find. Remember that the more you fool with it to style it after it's curled, the more it will pull the curl out. I don't comb or brush my hair after it's curled, just use my fingers or a pick to gently push it into place, and sometimes I bend over and flip hair back to give it volume.
You can also try a spray gel or mousse (lightly) on each strand as you are curling it. This works with rollers or iron, but if you put enough to get it "wet" it will be hard to curl--the trick is just enough to get it barely damp.
If I want my hair in really really tight ringlets and I have time--this takes longer--I use the little soft twisty things with wires inside them and roll tiny ringlets vertically (spiral) all over my head (using styling gel or mousse to set the curls as I roll). You can do this mid-day for an evening party, or sleep on them for curls the next morning.

I've tried a bajillion products and they don't work.
Here's what I do:
I take a shower and then apply Sunsilk Hydra TLC 24/7 Creme all over. It's a conditioner gel so it'll stay.
Then put it into two messy buns while they're wet. One on one side of your head, and one on the other. (this way, you can sleep properly.)
Leave it overnight. Then when you wake up in the morning, undo the buns and you'll have curly hair.
The 24/7 Creme is also a conditioner, so your head won't be filled with look- alike dandruff in the morning.
Hopee this helpedd♥

Spray your hair with hairspray when it is in the curler. I have very thick, coarse hair and I spray the base of the hair that is in the curler with a heavy duty hairspray, comb out the curl at the end and then spray it again to keep the hold all day long.

my hair is naturally curly but i do my friends hair all the time. you should put some curling serum or curling gel in your hair, and then wear hot rollers. when ur done, put your hair in two seperate TIGHT buns on the sides of your head for 30 minutes and then take it off and put some hair spray over it. hope that helps : )

your hair sounds like mine. there are curling shampoos that you can use as well as curl enhancing products but ultimately i ended up getting a body wave in my hair which allowed my hair to hold curl all day but i could also blow dry it straight. my husband hated it.
