my parakeet is pulling out the stuffing in her nesting box, is this a sign that she is wanting to lay eggs?

I guess it could be possible, but if she is wanting to lay eggs the reason she's pulling the stuffing out is because they don't use that kind of thing for nests. Parakeets nest in hollow places in trees and lay their eggs right on the hard surface in their hollow, with no cushioning.

Yes . She is taking everything out because parakeets lay their eggs on bare floor .
