There are so many religious questions here, its ridiculous.
Its like a war between internet christians and internet muslims to see who can post the most questoins about their religion.

I'm not just talking about in the "Religion and Spirituality" sub category.
Just everywhere.

I haven't looked enough beyond this category to notice. But I will nonetheless answer the question I THOUGHT you were asking before I saw the "additional details."

I think we tend to forget the distinction between Religion and Spirituality. To me, religion is mostly a group thing, although each person hopefully brings their individuality to it. I see spirituality as almost exclusively a personal, private thing, but we can learn from one another if we develop a common vocabulary. I don't think we've done that yet.

But I can see why perhaps other categories are being invaded by R&S questions. The clash between the fundamentalist Christians and the fundamentalist Muslims threatens to destroy us all. Naturally everyone who thinks about it is concerned, and their questions are shaped by that.

There is also the fact that a surprising number of people just don't bother to categorize their questions. They go where their friends hang out. I think that is especially true of Polls & Surveys.

It's a strictly religion kind of thing here, because you are in the religion and spirituality section.

I rarely venture over to this area, and reside primarily in the politics. So all the questions I see relate to politics and government.

Really? I haven't seen any religion questions in the other sections I use.

Yep, we're still in "Religion & Spirituality"...
That's probably why you're not seeing many questions about washing machines...
