I'm not a Christian women, but I do believe the King James version of the bible is incredibly sexist against women. Why is God a man in the English interpreted bible, but in the original text, he doesn't have a sex and is referred to as Yahweh? Also, first Adam is created by God, then Eve is created from one of Adam's ribs to keep Adam company. This is where the word woman came from which literally means "of man".

Yes I accept my God-given role and because I do and I don't leave my position I remain blessed and my home is free from mental abuse, physical abuse and any other abuse. See role play has a lot to do with everything and if we began to leave our positions things don't fall in line. Example you take a family and the Man is at home cooking and cleaning and the Wife is out working and sweating, then you find that 9times out of 10 if they have children they don't respect the mother their either talking back, cussing or acting out. Lord I hope I don't offend anyone but then its seems as the woman is trying to be dominant, she then fill as though shes head of the house treating the man any kind of way. And don't get me wrong its wonderful when we as women work and help but also lets stay submissive to our spouses. And its not always the women the Men can go over board sometimes and be overbearing. But In order to solve this problem if it ever was one we must not be Haulty, Dominate Women, and it wouldn't hurt for the men to become a little more humble from time to time and Let God Be God, then our roles and lives would be a lot better. Trust me I had to learn, myself. God Bless.

Um - the story of devil being an angel who rebelled and became forged out of Heaven isn't Scriptural - not interior the Bible in any respect. It became made up by potential of a guy named Milton who wrote a myth tale (study The Witch, The Lion and The cloth cabinet) stated as "Paradise lost".

Tempest is correct. There is a big difference between subservience and submission. And if a couple is doing as they should, the husband also submits to Christ as his Lord and master, rather than lording it over his wife like a petty tyrant and expecting her to meekly do his bidding.
Works both ways, in other words. If both aren't doing their part, it doesn't work at all.

Would you like to read the bible again ? PLEASE , Eve was created from Adams rib . So she could be beside him not behind him nor in front of him . If god wanted woman to be submissive he would have created woman without the power to speak and the power to think . He created woman who are not one size and height but , different heights and sizes . So that men and woman can chose someone they can see eye to eye with.

Yeah, guy above me, everything is a sign of the downfall of humanity.. Our entire race is so bloody young, but we're already slipping.
Women generally rebel against it now-a-days.

I whole heartedly accept that role. My husband is the head of our household and I wouldn't want it any other way. As the mother of three sons I pray that they will find a Christian woman that feels the same way. I tell my boys now (get ready for the gasps and sighs of disbelief) that any woman who refuses to take their last name is a woman not worthy of marriage! We are submissive to man because Eve sinned first, making us the weaker sex. Same reason we have pain in childbirth. Get used to it and thank Eve for it if you don't like it!

Did you know God instructed Men to love their wives but the wives merely had to obey? If you consider love to be more than the infatuation and lust that drives people to marry today women would have more power over the men.

What is our role? Being awesome? I don't fight being awesome if that is what you are asking. God told you to be submissive? That sucks, good luck with that!

My God-given role? Is that to have multiple babies and slave over an open fire for the man (aka righteous ruler of the domain) so as not to displease him? I'm sorry, but God gave me a life and I choose to live it however I see fit. God has input into what I do! I don't think that he would have given us (HUMANS) free will if he didn't want us to use it. You may feel it necessary to kowtow to a penis, but I don't think that is your God-given role!
