Hello Brother. it is a time and place, The time is always and the place is in the spirit. For God is every where, and we can talk with him at all times.

There can be a formal time, a formal place and a formal event to pray. There are also informal ones, because there are times that whenever, wherever, however, "the Holy Spirit breathes on you wherever He pleases" (110, The Way by St. Josemaria Escriva).

With attitude, do you mean of a complex mental state involving beliefs and feelings and values and dispositions to act in certain ways? If yes, It can also be. When you pray, you grow in grace and your attitude towards life becomes better.

Or

With attitude, do you mean of a position? If yes, It can also be. There are prescribed certain prayer positions that will help you meditate more on what is happening at a certain event. For example, at a Catholic Mass, we stand during the reading of the Gospel. We do that because there is a purpose and not only because the Bishops who prescribed it just wanted it to be, but because we treat the Word of God just like us human beings treat a Judge who enters a court room. We kneel (Phil 2:10) during the consecration because of the Real Presence of the Body and Blood of Jesus. Prayer positions are done because these are the right body language for that moment.

Each time you pray is at a place and at a certain time... but to constantly pray means to be always have an attitude of prayer. Kinda like if you're calling someone but you never end the call. God is always listening and we are able to speak to our Lord without waiting in line

well for me, I have prayer time in the morning that is just God and me, sitting at my desk with my bible and that's it, and pray and talk with God first thing, and my day starts so much better that way. However, I pray throughout the whole day. If I travel, I pray a prayer of protection, and I pray over my kids everyday, ages 10-2, I pray for my husband at work and traveling to and from work, and who ever God puts on my heart and if someone calls with a prayer request, I pray over that as well. So it's a non-stop thing for me. But the one on one in the morning is really important to me and starts my day in the right way. Good luck and God Bless.

I have a specific time that I set aside to pray and usually a specific place. In addition to that I try to pray throughout the day as well no matter where I am. So I guess my answer is a bit of both.

it's really both, yet different. a time & place for consistency (for your benefit). in other words to get into the "habit" of prayer--no better way than if at the same or similar time & place... your prayer closet or secret place--like developing an exercise routine--consistency. the attitude is simply to have an attitude of prayer--always ready to lift your eyes toward heaven to speak to our heavenly Father.

With me it's both. All day I try to have the "attitude," but every night I use the moon and stars as my backdrop to just be alone with Him and praise His Holy name and all His creation. I might also add that I never ask of Him for myself except in prayer for the concerns of others. Mostly, I just thank Him for loving such an unworthy person as myself.

Markus, prayer, for me, is a WAY OF LIFE! I pray when I am cleaning, cooking, painting my dolls, driving, shopping and so on. When I am not in conversation with my earthly family, I try to be in conversation with my heavenly Father! Not because I need too, but I love Him and I desire to talk with Him.

Prayer, is the one way I deal with all things. My daughters health issues, my relationships with others, my sorrows and my joy! You see, it took me long enough to understand the divine order, God first, family second and then, all others! Once I truly started putting things into this order, my burdens became lighter, I walked more in truth and the more I "seek" HIM, through my prayers, the more I see HIS loving hand in all aspects of my life.

I have to say one more thing, when God is placed first, truly....all other things become bearable and His peace and joy keeps me reminded of the fact that He does listen, He does reply and He does love us more than mankind is capable of doing!

I *P.M* God all the time.
Little private messages I send on the way throughout the day.
Then there’s the get down and really get into the *conversation/prayer* times.
I don’t do it by rote.
But truly, prayer is between you and God - something you can work through on your own between Him and you.
You’ll know what’s right, in your relationship with Him as you go, as you pray more (or less?) and as you grow.
Just like in any other relationship - It’s an alive and ever changing thing.
:)

I would call it a mindset. As Christians, we are called to be in constant prayer and fellowship with Jesus. Although setting aside time for devotions every day is great, we are not supposed to only pray once a day.
