Prepare for some babble about "Original Sin" and humanity's "Fall From Grace"...

yes the unevolved human is very fragile
but it is not just that we only use less than 10% of the brain (are they afraid to tell us just how much less?)
but we also only use about 3% of our DNA cause 97% of our DNA is what is called 'Junk DNA' meaning it is not used as RNA to come through the nucleus membrane to be used in the body of the cell

now, why would an intelligent designer have all that potential there and not even atrophy like other stuff that evolves unused?

answer: science is swiftly racing towards an event horizon where immortality is only one uncertain as to how human improvements
that many are completely unable to fathom what our future will look like after

those surrounding elements have changed vastly these past 20 years although governments and religions dont like admitting it, science is unable to deny unless the scientists are paid off to lie which is already going on
but nature and man are still on the steady march of an eternal NOW advancing into tomorrows potentials and possibilities and those outer elements are really only a greater body that we all share and they are all facilitative to the whole
it is the little altered ego living in the body that is the kink that needs to get grown up

Well, we aren't exactly without protection from the elements. It depends on the elements in which you find yourself. Humans sweat when it's extremely hot to cool our bodies. Our skin gets "goose bumps" when it's cold to raise fur that's no longer there in an attempt to warm us. Our skin also protects us from the sun. If you happen to live in Africa, you have darker skin to protect you from the sun's harmful rays. The extra flap of skin found around the eyes of an Asian man or woman was meant to protect their eyes from the reflection of the sun off of snow. Eskimos have shorter limbs so they are closer to the heart and thus, easier to keep warm. Your skin will callous or blister to protect it. Your body breaks into a fever to burn out any virus or infection, your stomach will cause you to "throw up" if there's something that irritates it I don't know if man or woman are the work of God, an intelligent designer or just some random happening, but we are most definitely not without our defenses from the elements. When it works right our bodies are amazingly designed, well functioning creations!

Our is not to question why? But I will answer your question, first of all, when GOD created man; humanity; He gave them the ability to think and work problems out. So therefore we; humanity; are not unprotected. Just give it a deeper thought.

He created him with a brain to cope with the elements. Besides, until man sinned the elements did not damage the way they do now.

I don't know...but from the description, the Garden of Eden was a pretty nice place with no 'elements' present to be protected from. It is the creation, itself, that decided that paradise was unfit and went off to seek greener pastures.

I've always figured the best argument for that one is...

If something isn't in use, is it really the best? My best running shoes are the ones covered in stains and holes.

I thought that answer was pretty slick. A dodge, but still pretty slick.

How are we unprotected from the elements?

Man-kind is gifted with intelligence. We created fire. We built shelters. We hunted for food. We made clothing. We made shoes.

What is the problem?

Because we were given the intellect and the wear-with-all to fend for ourselves on this earth. Or more likely we evolved that way.

Once Adam and Eve sinned, God told them that they would no longer be allowed to live in the Garden of Eden, thus, they would have to endure the hardships of life such as laboring for a living, childbirth, disease, and death.
