Has anyone gotten MARRIED in the poconos? I was thinking of doing the champgane wedding from caesars..is it nice? There will only be about 15 people max in attendance at our wedding. I wanted something small and private where people could still be there, and where it wouldnt be so expensive....thoughts? is the place nice? are there private places to have a wedding?

If at all possible, you should make a trip there to see the place. I live about 30 minutes from there, & I think it's pretty nice, but I've never been to a wedding there or whatever. You might find this is the perfect place for you, or you might be horrified by the place. There are other similar places around the area, but you really should see it for yourself.

We're having our wedding in St Thomas, and went this summer to scope it all out--really glad we did. It's very tough to plan a wedding when you've never see the place yourself, and you don't have a picture of what to expect. I found going there alleviated alot of my worries about the wedding.

Try bischwind@msn.com (their email address) or bedandbreakfast.com and the site will come up. chestnuthillpoconos.com. These two bed and breakfast inns are absolutely gorgeous. They both do weddings. If you want something elegant, these two are outstanding. Caesars is nice, been there, but it is a very large and impersonal place. That is why I recommend a bed and breakfast. Also stroudsmoor country inn or stroudsmoor.com. My husband and I have gone there for years. It is a beautiful place and less expensive but so elegant. They have accomodations, the best food in the Poconos, and they do small weddings and all occasions. It is family owned and they are so nice. This place is a winner and it has everything. It is on a mountain, the countryside is stunning, the view, the food and the owners are wonderful. Go on their site and see if you like it, if you do, write them an email and inquire. Good Luck, and I hope my suggestions help you. We have been going to the Poconos for many years, so we know where to go.

We spent our Honeymoon at Caesar's Pocono Palace. Our first day there we saw a wedding taking place on the grounds. From a distance, it looked very nice and beautiful. The bride and groom were introduced to everyone at dinner and there was a toast in their honor. Since we stayed the entire week, we start running into the couple and by the last couple of days we were doing things together. I know they said they were very happy with the way Caesar's handled everything. I know that while we stayed at the resort we were treated wonderfully and had no complaints. Best wishes on whatever you decide to do!

I wasn't married there but we honeymooned at the Cove Haven resort and we had a great time. The staff was wonderful, the food was excelelnt and there were tons of activities (not that you need them) We were never bored. Plus it is so beautiful, we had deer right in front of our room in the mornings, and it is right on a lake. Our room had the champagne glass jacuzzi tub which was sooo cool! We also had a mini private pool. (In the room!!)

I am sure they have facilities for a ceremony, here is their web site which may help:

Good luck!
