The idea that you can't 'spot reduce' fat IS A MYTH.

Muscles get their fuel from the bloodstream. Bodyparts which are exercising turn pink, because more blood is flowing through the skin there (in order to get rid of heat generated by the muscles underneath).

If you repeatedly increase the bloodflow through a bodypart (by exercising it often, or constantly), it will grow new blood vessels ('capillarisation').

The fat stored in any bodypart will be more available to your bloodstream IF THE BODYPART IS FREQUENTLY IN MOTION. Move your hips, and you'll shift more fat there.

You don't need to move them frantically. Muscle fibres use two types of fuel, to do two different jobs. GENTLE movements are performed by 'slow-twitch' muscle fibres, which ONLY burn fat.

(Vigorous movements are powered by SUGAR, which is an explosive. Burning sugar will make you tired and hungry, so that you need to stop, and you need to eat.)

Fatburning movements are effortless, and you can keep going continuously without tiring or stopping. You need large movements that use the full 'range of movement' of your hip. Cardiovascular exercise machines only allow your hip to make tiny movements.

FLATTENING YOUR STOMACH cannot be done with gentle movements. Your waist will 'pinch in' if you tighten the muscles ('oblique abs') that cross over the front of your abdomen in an X-shape.

(Situps and crunches DO NOT activate these muscles, even the twisty type that claim to be able to.)

These oblique muscles can only be worked effectively with your torso upright. They are used to twist your waist from side to side. You can get a turntable, very cheaply, that you stand on and 'do the twist'. Some gyms have a big version of this turntable, with a handle at the front so you can hold your upper body still while your hips rotate from side to side.

Several types of dancing use a lot of hip-rolling movements (salsa, dansa africa, bellydancing), so they are excellent for activating the Abdominal Obliques. They also include some large hip movements, so they can help with your fat loss there.

Capoeira uses an immense amount of waist movement, so it is excellent for changing the shape of your midriff. It also encourages a lot of hip flexibility and movement.

Climbing and swimming also help to activate hip and waist muscles.

we cant spot reduce body fat - the only way to get rid of that is by lowering your body fat percentage which you achieve by healthy diet and exercise.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

your local sports centre should have a gym in it,ask them to draw you up a programme for whatever you want do do with your body and they will show you how to work on those problem areas.find a suitable diet and stay away from take away foods as well as they are full of fat.most weight loss clinics will also advise not to eat after 8pm and you will notice a difference! hope this helps.
