like someone else said I've heard about actors doing that as well. I thought I remembered something about widows and widowers doing that.

Why not? If I wear a second ring, I wear it on the right ring finger. When I was single I wore rings on that finger - where else would a guy wear them?

No other reason than his personal preference. It may be a ring that signifies a special relationship that hasn't progressed to marriage, it may be simply a ring that he likes wearing, or one that has some emotional meaning to him. I wouldn't read anything particularly significant in it being on his right hand.

If he's European and married - some Europeans (e.g. Scandinavians) traditionally wore wedding bands on right hand ring finger for the reason that it's supposed to have some link to the heart. Not exactly sure. My dad wears his ring on his right hand.

That's the tradition of many cultures, especially in Israel, Russia, and mariana islands. It has the same significance as a wedding ring placed on the 4th finger of the left hand which is the practice or tradition, of christian religions. However, if you would simply ask this person why, I suspect you will get a better answer than mine.

He's married but for the cameras and for his role he might not. Many married actors will do the same thing, even women. It's honorable to me because he still wears his gold band of proof of his vows and didn't compromise too much by switching hands.

right ring finger doesn't link to the heart. that is why americans wear it on the left ring finger it has the closest flow of blood to the heart. hold your arm out palm up and look. now do the same with the right, i think the right is further away. maybe his wife died. cameras also portray the image backwards and 10 pounds heavier.

I'm a widow. I wear my wedding ring on the right hand because I want to wear it but I also want to avoid people asking me things like "What does your husband do?" Or "Bring your husband next time."
It has happened and I don't feel like explaining sometimes.

He also could have been Latino. Some of them wear their wedding ring on the right hand. Or, the footage you were watching could have been reversed. It's common for editors to reverse film footage if they think it looks better facing the other way.

I knew a guy who wore his ring on the wrong hand to kind of honor his wife that had passed away.
