ok, you just answered the question. You fell in love with someone else. Nothing wrong with that. It happens. Now I think the real question is : How do I break up with a guy/girl I have been out with for 5-6 years and tell him/her I am in love with someone else. That my friend is called Honesty. You should always follow your heart in my opinion. BUT also listen to your gut. If you have negative gut feeling about the new person you fell in love with, then by all means listen to your gut. Every case I have been involved with, myself, friends, family etc. They all said. If I only listened to my gut. SO I am offering that advice. Listen to your gut.

If that would happen to me I would gently talk to my now boyfriend and tell him that it's over between us because my heart belongs to someone else and break off the current relationship then go and be happy with the one you love so you won''t have any regrets.

It's called following your heart... and also being honest with yourself and the person you are going to leave .... it happens everyday.. people fall in and out of love... and unfortunately someone is hurt in the process..

Good luck.. and I hope life holds nothing but the best for you ..

I would have to break up. It is not fair nor right to be in a relationship with someone and be in love with someone else.

That is very interesting. Why don't you tell me what you would do?
