Where is this? It sounds like the kind of name which might exist in more than one city.

La Petite Payments

I used to work for La Petite and the pay was between $8-10/hr (pay raises were $0.25-0.40 given annually) Since you have a degree and experience, I would HIGHLY recommend finding another school to work at. My experience at La Petite was miserable. La Petite is more of a "corporate run" institution and the school was always under-staffed, classes were maxed out and out of ratio, and the kids were constantly being shuffled around to different classes and teachers. If you want a school that will appreciate your degree and experience, then La Petite is not the right place. Good luck!

teacher pay la petite academy degree experience

My daughter taught at Kinder Kare which is very similar to La Petite and the pay was $10/hr even with degree and experience. The only one to make any decent money was the director. My daughter decided to start her own in home day care business and got state approved. Even with start up costs, she is now making a very good profit (more than an elementary school teacher with a Masters degree plus experience would make) and she is able to stay home with her own child.

I have worked in several daycares and preschools both as a Teacher and Director and we always had a Janitor come in and do the cleaning, but we did clean up after ourselves and any major messes like water on the floor fromt he sink or an accident-etc, but major cleaning was left up to the Janitor. It really depends on whether or not your facility can afford it. I don't think it is fair to ask a Teacher to do this on top of the Teaching.

It could be anywhere between $8.00-$12.00 an hour depending on how many units you have and your experience and years you have worked there. I used to work for Kindercare for many years and La Petite is similiar in care and pay.
