Hey,
I graduated with a Bachelors from John Jay back in '05 and i can tell you its definately co-ed (rumor goes around that JJC has the best girls out of all the CUNY schools!)
Downside is that the school's population is growing by the year and yet its facilities are largely the same. When i graduated, i remember they were getting ready to build a huge skyscraper above the current main facility on 10th avenue to accomodate all this new students, however i doubt they have completed it yet.
John Jay is what you make of it. It is definately not a traditional college that you would see on tv. its more like a job. You go in, take classes, leave. There really are no dorms and really not much of public meeting places around. There are sports programs and such and i recommend the Thematic Studies program to take care of all your basic essentials before moving on to advance courses.
Some say JJC sux, but like i said, it is what it is. You will def see and get the feeling that it doesnt take much to get into the school (quite the obnoxious highschool mentality) but alot of these kids drop out or you advance past them and only have to ever walk past them.
The Masters Program (once you get your BA) is world reknown and JJC gets students from all over the globe. I have yet to complete my MA yet but am seriously considering it.
Oh yea, its pretty convient to get to, just go to Columbus Circle and walk west a couple blocks and downtown one block and there you are. Right near Fordham University

Forget it. No GED student will be accepted to John Jay. Expect to attend a community college first.

i've got been going there for the final 4 years and that i'm able to assert unquestionably, except one among your birthday provides replaced right into a clean Mercedes, you have have been given a difficulty. lots of the land around the school is taken up via high priced outdated low upward push brownstones or extremely high priced extreme upward push condos. (the school unquestionably had to hire area in one among them to make extra class rooms)
