I got my second tattoo today..but this is the first one that I have gotten with color in it.

I havent scratched it or anything like that, but I just looked n the mirror and now my ink is bleeding...if I dabb it with a tissue I can see the color comming off and parts of it looks smudged (I didn't rub)
is that normal for color tattoos or is it going to be ruined now??? I cant go back to the parlor tight now because they're closed

Some of the ink will ooze out of your tattoo (for lack of a better term), but this is normal. Just be sure that you follow some aftercare instructions.

1) You should only be using either an unscented body lotion, like Lubriderm, or tattoo cream, like H2Ocean, on your tattoo. Don't use ointments, or products like Vaseline as they will smother your tattoo, which won't allow it to breathe and heal, and also will clog your pores. Don't use Polysporin/Neosporin, or anything like these as they are meant to draw foreign cells from your body, like tattoo ink.

2) When you apply the lotion/cream, you only need to do it 3 times a day, and put on just a thin layer.

3) When showering, try to not let the water hit directly on your tattoo. The water should hit above your tattoo and flow over it. When you get out of the shower, just pat it once or twice, then let it air dry.

4) Don't pick or scratch at your tattoo and the scabs. Let them fall off naturally. Picking off the scabs prematurely will pull the ink out of your skin.

5) Don't submerge your tattoo in water, or expose it to direct sunlight/UV rays for at least 8 weeks. Even after this period, when exposing your tattoo to direct sunlight/UV rays, use sunscreen.

This is all you really need to know about taking care of your tattoo. The moistness of your tattoo, and the blurriness will clear in a few days, and then it will get really dry and scabby. After the scabs come off, it will look a bit opaque, and then after a few more days, it will be healed!!

Your tattoo, will bleed a bit, think about whats happened, the tattooist has punctured your skin and forced ink into it. It is normal for it to scab up, try not to scratch it or wear any clothing that may irritate it. Wash with only warm soapy water and pat dry gently. Do not cover at all. When the scab is coming off naturally, then you can dab a small amount of petroleum jelly onto it to stop it from being pulled off. Picking or pulling off the scabs may cause you to pull out bits of the colour and your tattoo will become patchy.
It may seem a bit smudged but what your seeing is probably bruising.
Good luck

I have 17 tatts and fortunely mine never did any bleeding other than when it was actually bn done maybe a very very litle the same day. But the last answer was pretty much to the point. And according to all other answers they had the same problem. But just keep it clean and moist w/lubiderm and it will b fine. Try not 2 panic.

I am pretty for sure it's normal. My husband got a color tatoo and his bled a little. Just take care of it like your other tatoo and it should be fine. The color won't be as bright as it is now once healed.

Relax it is perfectly normal.
The artist should have gone
over the "what if's" with you,
before you left the shop.
Hopefully they gave you some
good aftercare instructions.
If not...call, or go back and get them.
It's a very important step....

That's why you got to keep it wrapped and bandaged. It will bleed. If it loses the color it can be touched up and will probably need it anyhow.

ther's no problem, it looks like it's leaking, it's just getting ready to form a scab, keep vaseline on it when it dries, then it will peel and look beautiful.
