I got intro'd to the breed when I rescued the APBT pup that became one of my three permanent pups. She was 2 1/2 wks old then and now she is 2 1/2 yrs old. I really didn't think she would get big. She didn't look as big as yours does now at ten weeks, at that age she was wearing a sweater made for a small dog. She weighs sixty lbs. now.
I wouldn't worry. Also, she didn't start filling out until she was around two years old. It's hard to tell how big your dog will be, but I wouldn't be surprised if he outweighed mine when he is grown. APBT's weight range is wide.

An APBT can range from 45 to 60 lbs with some going to 80 or even 100 lbs. My grown Pit is 55 lbs. My 13 week is over over 20 lbs. I expect 50-60 lbs for her. Yours may be a bit smaller. Mine was as big as my Chi/Rat Terrier at 10 weeks, 20 lbs. Your pup is very cute and looks in perfect health. I just don't think it is going to be a big Pit, but as usual I am probably wrong.

He looks to be the right size for a puppy that age and he has beautiful markings! My pup was born June 1st and she's 27.5 lbs. My other female is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 56.5 lbs. and my male is almost 3 years old and weighs in at a whopping 83 lbs. Good luck with your puppy.

Oh, look at that baby! I just love pit bulls!
If you are concerned with his size, take him to the vet for a check-up. You will most likely find that he is within the norm (of which there is a wide range) for his age.
Give that baby boy all the hugs and scratches he can handle. He is precious!

I think hes fine! pits very in size. most red noses are a little taller and slimmer when there full grown ans usually your blues are shorter and stockier. i think your dog is at a perfect weight for a 10 week old red nose i have a 9 week old blue and shes smaller than that. i wouldn't be concerned with the weight and size of your dog just yet.
by the way hes gorgeous and has perfect markings!!
GOOD LUCK!!

oh so cute!!!!! no i think its a good size for 10 weeks. besides you dont know what its mixed with so it could be something with a smaller breed, pits can be many different sizes. but it looks very healthy and a good weight so dont worry. its gonna be growing a lot in the next few months and some times they are just slow starters too.

Ella, he is too cute. I am the "mama" of a six year old male pit named Max.....who is about 80lbs. My son has his brother and he he is slighly smaller and weighs less. Your puppy looks good to me. Your vet will let you know...because mine told me that Max needed a diet! Just love him, and he will turn out to be a great dog!
