How often do Christians in this forum curse and tell atheists to go to Hell?

Quite often. Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? I would say that 85% of Christians have no idea what Christianity is about or they wouldn't behave like this. They are supposed to be trying to save us.

Too many.

Most Christians mean well when they defend their faith. But, too often, many make fundamental errors when dialoguing with atheists. We need to make as few errors as possible, not simply to win an argument, but to help the atheist come to a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus.

As for the crusades, understand this, yes atrocities were committed by Christians as well as the Muslims, however, the Crusades were not Started by the Christians, it was the Muslims under the leadership of Saladin, and note this, had King Richard not sent the crusaders to stop them, the Muslims would right now be in control of all of Europe including Italy and the vatican in Rome, and probably the America's be thankful the crusades did happen.

Now the Crusades did not have the desired effect on the Muslims as King Richard had hoped but it did stop the Islamic advance and kept them out of Europe.

I thought the Crusades succeeded in keeping Europe free from becoming an islamic continent. Sounds like a win to me. I don't curse but a lot of atheists do.

I do believe you are mad and not just angry.

God Bless.

I am not anti-religion, certainly not anti-Christianity, but it has to be admitted that there is a 'dark side'. Religion is the easiest way to rally people to war, so we have the great irony is that religions based on love and tolerance for one another are the biggest drivers of hatred, violence, genocide, etc. And this is true today just as it has been all through recorded history! We've never grown out of our need to dominate others.

Also I think it's a very BAD thing to believe that those who don't believe as you do are due for eternal punishment (and -deserve- it!) I was raised Jewish and I heard over and over from my smug Christian friends that I was going to hell, also that God hated Jews because they killed Jesus--and when I mention this to their parents they'd say 'Gosh, I don't know where he heard that! We never told him that!'

But this is exactly the kind of belief that leads to the dark side.

I have never told anyone on here to go to hell - the True christian's purpose is to try and get everyone to heaven, as God wants. He loves everyone, and so should we. Any professing christian who speaks down in a "cursing" manner is not a true christian and they will answer to God, along with anyone who ignores His call. That is not a curse, it is the truth. BTW, the Crusades were a catholic thing, not a christian thing.
God loves you, I love you, please listen to His Word and come to Him now.
God bless.

Then again there are Christians who do not curse or tell atheists to go to hell.

Its kind of funny because I see it as a frustration that they fee that we are not living in a christian land anymore and Christians need to work on why they believe what they believe and have a reasoned conversation.

That would NOT be "Christian". The proper protocol is to assume that hellboundedness is a given and "warn" them. It goes like this:

Christian: Don't you see? You're going to hell!

Non-Christian: (looks around) No I'm not.

(Christian takes advantage of confusion to deliver a finishing blow.)

Christianity is a failed religion, it states to be peaceful but have caused some of the most horrific atrocities in history (Spanish inquisition, helping Hitler exterminate jews, etc), it all come down to that chrisitoans are two faced and ultimate lairs.

I have not seen this at all.

However, I have seen quite a few attacks on Christianity on Yahoo answers recently.

It is quite sad. I will pray for you.
