I used to have some problems with insomnia. Here is some advice - stay out of your bed until you are ready to go to sleep tonight. If you lay around all day, it will make it really hard for your body to shut down. If you stay out of your bed until you are ready to sleep (don't watch tv or read) it will help you just sink into your pillows and sleep. Try to avoid resting/napping anymore today, even if you feel sleepy because it will mess up your sleep cycle. You can relax and take it easy, but try to stay sitting up and all that. Also, after like 3 or 4 pm today, avoid all caffine. Before bed have a glass of milk and lay in the pitch black. Don't force yourself to close your eyes... I actually found that if I try to keep my eyes open and try to focus on one spot on my ceiling (even though it was so dark I could not really see anything) it acutally almost tricked my body into sleeping.

Good luck, I am sure you will be ok! Have fun tomorrow and be prepared to get a cup of coffee mid-morning!

It seems to me that you already know what you need to do.
The best remedy is to drink plenty of fluids (clear like water), watch what you eat (nothing spicy that will upset your stomach as this will not help you sleep), and get plenty of rest.

If you really want to go tomorrow then you need to sleep. Sometimes taking some NyQuil will help you get to sleep and then stay asleep. Make sure the room is as dark as possible. The body needs it to relax enough.

I have the same problem with panicking in the car. I am on a prescription for it, but also try ginger root and/or ginger ale before you leave. Ginger has a natural calming sensation for your stomach.

Enjoy your time at the Biltmore and Sweet Dreams!

Just relax, Honey. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Rest today, and eat that chicken soup. If you feel up to it, take a nice hot bath.

If you're still feeling icky tomorrow, tell your mom. She'll understand.

Feel better.
