or least how to go about finding out

I am sure someone does, and if you had "Need-to-know", you would too. Troop movement information is NOT a subject for discussion here. If you are a wife/mother of someone deployed there, you will know via the usual channels. If you are not, then you will not know, nor know what the "usual channels" are.

If anyone does, and posts it on a public internet message board, they'd be in violation of Opsec. If you're a wife waiting for your husband to get home, you need to contact the family liason for the unit. Otherwise, the information should be released to the public, usually, 72 hours before they get back

only authorized family members will be told ahead of time. if you are not a spouse or parent of someone currently deployed, you will not be given the information until it is released to the public.

This is called OPSEC, and you could be placing them in danger by trying to find out before the information is safe to be released. units HAVE been ambushed when their movement schedule was leaked early.
