lol. It has nothing to do with Christianity. It depends how the kids were raised by their parents.

In my experience, no they do not. Most seem to raise their kids in a sheltered life. Some even start them in private grade schools. Once they can't afford the private school any more, they have to put their kids in public school. The kids usually go into a "culture shock", when they hit high school, and end up on drugs, pregnant, etc. This happens because they don't know how to defend themselves from peer pressure and so on.
I have seen many of the "sheltered" kids enter the work force at 18-19. They don't know how to conduct themselves in mixed company. Many don't seem to know that it is illegal for them to "Bible thump" at the workplace.
We recently had let a 19 year old hardcore Catholic girl go because she could not handle the work environment. A lot of us are Buddhist. She would go around turning our Buddha figurines backward, or face down on our desks. She was not discreet about it. She thought she had the right to tell the other women how to dress.

I do, mine are pretty well behaved. Being only 4 and 5, they don't get away with much, I've still got a close eye on them both. Sure they have their problems, they are after all, kids lol.
My oldest has a problem with hitting her sister ... she'll push her or smack her on the arm and run away. Her sister comes running to declare she's mortally wounded.
The youngest has yet to figure out that only VCR tapes can go into the VCR ... so far I've fished out all sorts of stuff; I keep waiting for an electrical shock when I go to fish out money or whatever she stuck in there (told me once it was her own ATM lol)
They're just kids, just like all other kids ... if they have problems it can generally be put down to my or my husband's lack, not theirs. Just like all families :)

Probably. Parents have SOME influence on how their kids turn out, but other factors are also at work.
An interesting fact: most kids don't turn out the way the parents wanted them to. (I'm proof of that - my dad wanted a daughter who was the total opposite of me.)
Another interesting fact: Christian parents sometimes have kids who leave Christianity. But non-Christian parents sometimes have kids who enter Christianity.
Religion is only one of many factors in a person's upbringing.

My Child is an absolute angel, although he is still very young. Children are sacntified by the parents, read 1 Cor 7 (I believe).
There are other Christians I know who have teen agers, and in compairison to the world, I can not BELIEVE how innocent they are.
Now, not everyone who calls themself "Christian" is christian. Most of america referers to themselves that way.
Now, I have noticed other kids who are from non-Christian (true Christian) homes. The one kid is full of fear, and also he doesnt seem to know about what is right and what is wrong in reguards to getting things for free. He doesnt like cursing though. Another non-Christian family, the Child is good, but only seems to know about things of this world. Like a fast car, new clothes. That is all they know.

If you are a serious christian (like the SDA, Baptists, pentecosts etc) and others who force the children to follow christianity and not make them a human being, you will only get hypocrites for children.
We were 5 children, 4 boys and one girl. we were forced into christianity. My 2 elder brothers and elder sister are very religious and upto all types of cheating, hypocritical etc.
I have a open view on all religions and dont force my children about religion, I dont force them to go to church.
My younger brother married a muslim, they celebrate both religions at home and they are very happy.
I have two wonderful children one 17 boy, 10 girl and they are the most obedient, well behaved and smart children. They dont lie to us and we are open with each other.
I only wish that all parents have children like mine.
Please dont force religion on your children, it is not the only thing on this earth.

"God looked at everything he had made, and he found it very good." (Gen 1:31)
All kids (actually, all people) are good. It is just "that a part of us is determined to do good while at the same time an element within us continually turns away from the good we know we can do" (Archbishop Wuerl of Sydney, Australia). This is due to original sin which flawed our human nature.
All human beings have concupiscence (in theology) because of original sin, concupiscence refers to the orientation or inclination or innate tendency of human beings to do evil, except the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was immaculately conceived (Ineffabilis Deus by Pope Pius IX).
So no matter how good Christian parents are or their upbringing, we cannot expect our kids (even adults) to act the right behavior according to Christian standards without the grace of God.
Take St. Augustine for example, his mom, St. Monica, who had been very pious, raised him to be a very good Christian. He even went to a Christian School. But still he had a very troubled life. He was a member of a cult (Manicheans), was heretical and lived a promiscuous life. He even had a son out of wedlock. In spite of it all, St. Monica never stopped praying to God. And with the grace of God, he was converted. He became a priest, even a Bishop. Have done great things with his episcopate. He is now considered one of the greatest theologians and has been named Doctor of the Church. "Thou hast created us for Thyself, and our heart is not quiet until it rests in Thee" (St. Augustine).
Since time immemorial, human beings have failed without God. With this, we pray to remain with Him for with Him is the only time we become good.
“If we have died with Him [in baptism; see Rom. 6:3-4] we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him.” If we do not persevere, we shall not reign with him. With this, Christians can forfeit heaven. (CCC 1861). Paul still writes, “See, then, the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but God’s kindness to you, provided you remain in his kindness, otherwise you too, will be cut off” (Rom. 11:22-23; Matt. 18:21-35, 1 Cor. 15:1-2, 2 Pet. 2:20-21). Paul stresses an important condition, provided you remain in his kindness. Christians can lose their salvation. Paul again, “Whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall” (1 Cor. 10:11-12).

Assuming Christianity is the prevelant religion in America and looking at the percentage of prisoners who claim to be Christians, one would have to conclude that... well... one can prove anything with statistics...

No. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and need to be forgiven through the power of Christ (Romans 3:23).
Our sin nature entered into humankind in the garden of Eden. The only way to escape sin nature is to a ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Parents CAN, however, teach their children to walk in paths of righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16,17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Psalm 119:105-112 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous ordinances. I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word. O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, And teach me Your ordinances. My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your law. The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not gone astray from Your precepts. I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart. I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, even to the end.
All humans sin, including Paul (writer of Romans) and David (writer of Psalms), but all humans have the chance to confess their sins, be forgiven, and start anew.

Kids are kids, ours do and make the same mistakes as others. The difference is when they were younger they knew about God and they usually return to Him. With stronger faith.
