It already is a superpower, but no one in our government will concede that. They have an army 2.5 times larger than ours, and plenty of nukes. Their economy is surging, and they are becoming the worlds laregst consumer of fossil fuels.
As for religion and belief in God... it won't have any effect. It already has 1/5 of the world's population. And the vast majority of them don't believe in the God of Abraham. Never did and never will, communist state or not. There is Islam and some Christianity there, but the Chinese have traditionally been Taoists, Confucianists and Buddhists. None of which pray to a God or Gods... But they have traditions and roots older than Christianity. However, the Chinese governement does crack down on many movements. They have pretty much dismantlked Tibetan Buddhism. Falun Gong adherents are tortured regularly.
Also.. what effect did the USSR have on religion and the belief in God? None that could be felt here.

With 1 billion 250 million people and over 1 trillion in foreign reserve and adding 17 billion more each month, well, yes. What that will do to religion and belief in God depends upon how those people holding such beliefs behave and respect the law of the land.

In this modern society, I don't think any country that can dominate the world. We are all depend on one another. When war time start whom ever have the best weapon will win.

No, they have very little to no change of being a superpower despite what every one says. They are way to beuracratic and backwards. As far as religion, they deny it, but there are over a million Christians who attend underground services.
