Shooting others was even sadder. However, by committing suicide it will save the state of Ohio money in trial fees and the cost of his prison fees. Sorry I know that was callous, but we've had quite a number of school shootings, too many in fact. But what would you expect from a country that allows guns? Apparently, the parents aren't very diligent in keeping them away from their kids. Something has to be done about this problem or the shootings will continue.

No. Not at all. What's sad is that no one (teachers, administrators, security personnel) is permitted to carry a gun (if so licensed) in the school allowing this kid to merrily attempt to waste as many as he chose completely unhindered until he decided enough was enough and ended his own life....the only correct decision he made the entire day.

What's really sad is that the victims had no way to defend themselves against a moron like this. Gun Free Zones are a crock. What 'Gun Free Zone' means is that any crackpot with a grudge and shoot as many people as they wish without fear.

Remember Columbine! Remember Virginia Tech! End the madness of Gun Free Zones!!!!

It is very sad. So many kids are crying out for help and being ignored that they have to take that route. How many shootings in schools and colleges will we have before we wake up and really take a good look at what is going on with our children? Any threat a child makes should be taken seriously, no matter what.

What is really sad is the fact that these children's parents are so inept at parenting that a shooting could occur due to a 14 y/o boy. Where was he raised? Iraq? What are the parents doing to allow such a thing to happen?

How can I, How can anyone answer that? Who can really relate except the parents, family and friends or someone who has experienced something similar?
The word 'sad' lessons the magnitude of the tragedy.
If you have faith in God, pray for his family. That is the first and best thing you can do. Maybe from that you will know what more to do.

Yes, but not very surprising considering the context:

1. White GOTH type (like the Columbine kids). Lot's of those kids are morbid anyway.

2. One of the few whites in a predominantly black school.

1+2=trouble in my opinion.

No, what's sad is that the students knew what was going to happen and the principal didn't do anything about it. She was too busy. So much for kids who can't make it in high school and need to go to an alternative high school.

You're sad because some crazed thug shot 4 people and then turned the gun on himself?
If you ask me, he did the world a favor by ending his own life. Imagine how much he saved american taxpayers in just legal and prison fees alone...

It is a tragedy on all levels, not the least for my wish that he 1. sought other options in life, or, 2. had done so before shooting anyone else.
