what do you remember your parents doing or saying to you that now you do as a parent? i hated when my mom would lick her finger then wipe my face if it were messy...i totally did that the other day, not even thinking....i felt so bad LOL!

My mom was notorious for spelling the word no and then saying when i say no i mean no and i did that with my son the other day, and also i tell them if i have to pick up your all toys then tommorow morning u will find a pad lock on the toy box, and my mom told me that all the time too... so i guess the apple didnt fall far from the tree here...

2 things I now do are:
1. Walk around after my kids saying, "What, do you think I own the power company? Do you know the switch works both directions? Just turn off the lights".
2. I used to hate going with my father places because all he listened to was talk radio and it didn't matter what was on, now, I find myself starting to do the same thing.
Its a good thing we loved them through this, now our kids have to do the same.

I remember when my mom used to totally embarass me how she dressed. Then when my son was born, he used to spit up alot. I would change out of what he spit up on and into something else. By the end of the day, I had on an outfit that made all my mother's creations look like fashion designers!

My parents were alway really strict and I said i will never be that strict my kid will have way more freedom and they said we will see. well here we are and I am pretty strict. I am training them to be young men who will turn into great gentlemen.
My fav is because I said so
I always that so what now I say it and also say you don't get to ask why until after you do what you are told.

My all time fav is "Because I said so". I heard it growing up and use it myself. Or "Because I am your mother you will...."
Oh, and I can't forget the spit baths; you know the ones where mom spits on a Kleenex and then cleans your face? I used to cringe whenever I saw that Kleenex getting close to mom's mouth!

i do that to my daughter too,I also tell her someday i hope she has a daughter just like her.( shes a great girl) but my mom always said that to me.

My Dad advised me.......whatever you do, do it sincerely and to the best of your capacity.Do not worry over rewards.........I have followed his advise all my life. and achieved good rewards.
