Is it the giving of the presents, the family gatherings, the meals...? What does Christmas mean to you in terms of how you celebrate it?

I love the lights and decorations. There is a street near where I live where everyone decorates (the entire street and homes) like the North Pole.

Like most people, I enjoy the Pagan aspects of the holiday: The smell of pine from the tree, decorating with my son using all the old familiar family ornaments, the exchange of presents, gatherings of family and friends, and of course the feast. Oh, and the 7 or 8 bourbon egg nogs I always drink on Christmas Eve...

I'm not Christian, I'm actually Buddhist, so only see Christmas in a non-religious p.o.v.

I was raised in a Christian family, so I had become very accustomed to Christmas traditions.

What I like about it is the personalised gifts (my family and I don't give a lot, but they're very personal gifts, from the heart), cooking the meal together, and seeing family that we really only get to see once a year :)

I like it for no other reason than to see my little angel's face when she opens her Christmas presents. All the pretty holiday decorations and lights make it a special time of year for little kids.

I can do without all the fighting amongst my family (fundies by the way), that always takes the joy out of the season. Ironic, idn't it?

Oh ya, did I mention the Hershey kiss peanut butter cookies???? Yummy.....

nothing, here where I live Christmas is an extremely religious holiday celebrated on the 7th January, it's only for those who believe

we do our usual family gatherings, have great meals, and exchange presents on New Year :D

The energy that comes with it! Everyone seems more pleasant and giving and more connected to their fellow humans. The music and scents (REAL Christmas Trees, Foods of the Season and Fires in the Fireplace) and the presents are all bonus!

I love decorating the house for Christmas. One of my favorite thing to do is to turn on some soft music and turn off the overhead lights so I can see the tree all sparkly, the little lights of our Christmas village shining. It's such a gentle, peaceful few moments in an otherwise hectic time.

For my family it is such a time of traditions. . .and now these traditions are the ones I pass down to my own children, like getting new PJ's on Christmas Eve, lol.

I love the smells of Christmas. . .Apple Cinnamon. . .yum

I love having a gift that I can't wait to give. I don't spend a lot of money I do my best to have thoughtful gifts that took time. The best year was last year. . .I made a scrapbook for my mom and dad of our vacation at the beach, we all go. . .my siblings and all the kids. . .I have to say that scrapbook was beautiful. I couldn't even sleep on Christmas Eve because I could not wait to give it to them . . .the expressions and tears on their face when they opened it, I will never forget it.

I just like the spirit of it.. I love getting together with family, eating a ton of good, homecooked meals, being able to give gifts to loved ones, the excuse to have christmas parties and dress nice and kiss under mistletoe..
Plus, it's during winter! What better time to be doe-eyed and dreamy than during winter when you can roast your nuts by the fire..
..
I mean chestnuts.

I love Christmas!! :)

Not the religious part of it, but the family reunion, the happiness of the kids, the traditions, the food, the songs, the decoration, the cards, everything. So many good memories!! :)

I like smothering everyone with my unquenchable Christmas spirit. I love Christmastime. I like the snow, the music, the smells I associate with it, getting to see my loved ones, getting time off work, decorating the tree, making snow forts, eating good food, and having sleepovers with my brothers on Christmas Eve and stay up talking and playing games like when we were kids, even though we're all in our 20's now.

Man, I'm such a Christmas freak. I can't wait!
