how can i make my dorm room romantic looking for my girlfriend visiting this weekend?

The best thing you could do, since you can't do anything perminate, is to get red cloth and put it over the lights. Candles, if you are allowed to have open flames in the dorms, if not, then try to get small lights, with flickering bulbs. They sell bulbs that look like candles, it could be just as effective. You could put hearts all over the room, or balloons. Flowers are a must, you need to get lots of flowers in the room. Put rose petals on the bed.
These should be no-brainers, clean the room. Make sure there isn't any dirty laundry around. Take out the trash. Clean out the fridge. No girls is going to want to do anytihng in a messy room.
One more thing, get one of those Glade plug in things, to make the room smell more like flowers, than your smelly socks.
I guess there isn't much more you can do, because you are in a dorm room, but if you put your mind to it, and make the effort, it should be rewarding.

Get some lamps and turn your big light off so the room has a dimmer look instead of all the brightness. Clean up all the clutter and have it relly clean adn smelling good. Buy a bouquet of flowers for her and have them in a vase when she gets there. Good smelling candles, a new soft rug, clean sheets.....

That is rather hard to do with a dorm room, especially if you have to share it. But flowers and candles generally work very well indeed.
